Alexis founded the store with the vision of becoming a part of the community that supports civic and athletic organizations with a focus on promoting academic excellence. Regular blind folded tasting wars with beautiful food, live music. All free. Only the loser gets a gift certificate. Fun!

 

Alexis walked with 9 siblings, her parents, and her elderly grandmother at the age of 5 through the jungle to Thailand for almost two years, fleeing the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, and eating anything that provided nourishment. She was able to persevere with a strong family unit that was able to have each other's backs in such trying times. With this they were able to escape war against all odds and are able to tell this story.

 

 A baptist church in Georgia sponsored the family. A true blessing. They all worked together, each having 2 to 3 jobs with no knowledge of American culture or language. Together, they eventually built the largest Asian grocery store in New England. She is forever grateful for the gift of freedom and opportunity America provides her, her family and future generations.

 

The store prides itself on its unique antique style, lowest prices on Route 67 and fantastic customer service. If Alexis does not have it she will secure it for you. If you see a lower price, she will lower her price and drop it below the competition.
